About the Role
The CASE Functional Consultant will provide specialized functional expertise across SAP S/4HANA Plant Maintenance (PM) and Condition Assessment and Engineering (CASE) processes within a complex enterprise or government setting. The role focuses on detailed functional analysis, solution design, configuration, testing support and cross‑team collaboration. The consultant will work closely with asset management, engineering and maintenance stakeholders to ensure SAP PM and CASE solutions meet operational, compliance and performance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and document business requirements across plant maintenance, asset management and condition assessment processes.
- Configure SAP S/4HANA PM and CASE‑related functionalities including notifications, work orders, maintenance planning, asset structures and condition monitoring.
- Prepare functional specifications for enhancements, integrations and reporting requirements.
- Support end‑to‑end testing activities including test scenario creation, defect review and validation of maintenance processes.
- Assist in data migration activities including data mapping, validation and reconciliation related to PM and CASE objects.
- Work with cross‑functional teams to ensure integration with MM, FI/CO, EWM, PS and other relevant modules.
- Produce functional documentation including configuration guides, process flows and training materials.
- Participate in workshops, design walkthroughs and solution reviews with business and technical stakeholders.
- Provide support during cutover, hypercare and early life support activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance processes and system functionality.
Skills/Experience
- Demonstrated experience as an SAP PM or EAM functional consultant in SAP S/4HANA or ECC environments.
- Solid understanding of PM processes including notifications, work orders, planning, scheduling, asset hierarchies and condition assessment.
- Ability to interpret business requirements and develop detailed functional designs.
- Experience with SAP PM configuration and end‑to‑end maintenance process design.
- Strong understanding of integration points with MM, FI/CO, EWM and Project Systems.
- Experience in SAP testing, defect resolution and system validation activities.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Required Australian Citizenship and mandatory AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance.
- NV1 Security Clearance preferred.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with SAP EAM, mobile maintenance, AIN or ASPM solutions.
- Familiarity with asset‑intensive or government environments.
- Experience working in Agile delivery frameworks.
- Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager or ALM tools.
