Cyber Security Specialist

Essential – Hold an active Australian Government Security Vetting Agency NV1 security clearance, (must be an Australian citizen). The ability to obtain and maintain an AGSVA NV2 security clearance.

 

The Cyber Security Specialist is responsible for supporting the delivering of services, specialist advice and reporting against hardware/software vulnerability monitoring, cyber supply chain risk analysis, assisting penetration (PEN) test planning, conducting intelligence analysis, supporting incident responses and providing ad-hoc specialist consultation.

 

 

Essential Experience

Strong briefing and presentation skills

Governance, Risk and Compliance or equivalent experience

Open source intelligence analysis or risk assessments or technical reporting

Intermediate understanding of cyber security and information technology

Demonstrated knowledge of conducting risk mitigation strategies, stakeholder engagement and cyber security compliance activities

Ability to work under limited supervision to achieve cyber security outcomes

Well-developed analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills

Excellent oral and written communications skills

 

Desirable:

Advanced understanding of cyber security and information technology

Cyber security specialisations

Australian government and/or Defence experience

Information security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) certification

Specialist cyber security certifications (e.g. SANS or equivalent)

Degree qualification in Cyber Security

Cert IV (or equivalent) in either Cyber Security or Intelligence Operations or Security and Risk Management

CISM, CISSP, SSCP or other equivalent certifications
