Qualifications | § Degree in Information Technology or related field. |
Responsibilities | § Elicits and documents DCR system requirements, and communicates them to software development team members. § Determines security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements, researching information security standards; conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; studying existing stakeholders cyber architecture/platform and identifying uncovered issues § Recommends/designs structures and tools for systems which meet business needs and takes into account target environment, performance security requirements and existing systems. § Creates solutions which balance business requirements with information and cyber security requirements. § Identifies security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommends changes or enhancements § Translates logical designs into physical designs and produces detailed design documentation. § Reviews current system designs, recommends and implements enhancements. § Completing EMS documentation and the assigned sprint tasks. § Liaising with all project stakeholders. § Identifies and develops improvements to workplace processes related to areas of duty. |
Experience | Essential: § Demonstrated experience Windows and Linux operating systems § Demonstrated experience with current networking technologies. § Strong background as a system designer on medium to large size projects § Experience creating high level/low level designs and reference architecture § Experience with hyper-converged infrastructure, converged infrastructure, VMWare virtualisation, Windows and Citrix presentation services § Technical knowledge of Active Directory § High level communication skills Desirable: § Knowledge of current Defence Cyber Training environment § Familiarity with DevOps § Agile methods and tools such as SCRUM with Jira § Software development experience § Hold vendor certifications (Cisco, VMware, Microsoft, Linux Fortigate) § Australian government and/or Defence experience. § Experience in system simulations for training purposes. § Experience with designing training packages and programs § Systems engineering experience. § Systems and software testing experience. |
