About the Role 

Infrastructure Engineers implement, manage and retire the infrastructure (including physical, virtual, networking and cloud infrastructure) that supports digital services.

Key Responsibilities 

• Design and deploy Kubernetes clusters to support tactical threat hunting tooling.
• Develop IaC templates and automation scripts for container orchestration.
• Integrate containerised workloads with supporting infrastructure and services.
• Ensure secure, resilient and scalable deployments aligned with ASD standards.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across AP, infrastructure and cyber operations teams.
• Document deployment architecture and operational procedures.

Skills/Experience 

• Demonstrated experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform, Ansible.
• Strong understanding of container security and workload management.
• Ability to work collaboratively within Commonwealth delivery teams.

Desirable criteria

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP
• Familiarity with cyber security operations or threat hunting environments.
