About the Role
The Solution Architect plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of the client’s technology landscape, ensuring
alignment with strategic business objectives. This role provides both strategic and innovation leadership,
along with deep technical expertise, to guide the design and implementation of complex, enterprise-level
systems. A key focus is maintaining the security, integrity, consistency, sustainability, and adaptability of
technology solutions, while actively monitoring compliance and governance.
The client is currently undergoing a comprehensive transformation of its claims management platform. This
initiative is not only a technological upgrade but a strategic shift aimed at modernising claims operations. The
program is designed to address enterprise risk, enhance outcomes for injured workers, and drive long-term
improvements in operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and design solution for complex business environments, ensuring alignment with business objectives and program requirements
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions – Articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Provide technical leadership in project teams and take ownership of identifying the technical options and
outcomes of a collaborative decision-making process - Participate in selection of appropriate design standards, methods, and tools, consistent with agreed
enterprise and solution architectures - Optimise the solutions in line with WSV strategies, policies, standards, and practices
- Proactively build a thorough understanding of enterprise technologies and a good working relationship
with technology and operational teams
Skills/Experience
- Demonstrated experience in designing and developing solutions on Salesforce CRM, MuleSoft, IBM
WebSphere application & integration platforms, and AWS cloud stack - Significant experience in a similar architecture role, designing, supporting, developing, maintaining and
improving a complex application portfolio in a multi-sourced environment - Demonstrated experience in claims management, workers’ compensation, insurance, injury management,
or similar case management domains. - Experience designing solutions that support end-to-end claims lifecycle processes.
- Experience working in government, insurance, regulatory, or other highly regulated environments.
- Experience in producing solutions covering application, information, integration, technology and security
perspectives - Ability to work independently and collaboratively to manage conflict resolutions through in-depth analysis,
review, and application of expert knowledge - Highly developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with ability to influence and negotiate
effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders - Ability to facilitate architecture decisions, working with business, architecture peers and technical teams
Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, work accurately with attention to
detail, and meet deadlines
