Job/Project Description
The Test Specialist/Analyst is responsible for developing test requirements and test cases as well as the execution of the tests together with identifying and resolving software defects prior to software implementation.
- Develop testing scripts and scenarios based on the testing plan and follow standard procedures and templates to ensure product testing is comprehensive
- Execution of test cases, check and document results to ensure the system’s technical and functional requirements are met
- Ensure all work is carried out and documented in accordance with required standards, methods and procedures to ensure information retention and re-use
- Contribute to testing of any actions taken to rectify users’ problems to ensure user and system requirements are met and that changes integrate with the production system
- Contribute to the provision of documentation and advice regarding applications to enable support functions to work pro-actively
- Maintain test environments and deploy new versions as required
- Maintain documentation for regression testing
Mandatory Skills
- Be an Australian citizen
- Be eligible to obtain an AGSVA baseline security clearance or already have AGSVA baseline security clearance
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle
- Prior experience in using software testing tools
- The ability to understand and assimilate different points of view
- Understanding of software architectures and how data flows between them
- Knowledge of PEGA and SAP
- A love of working with people in a team-focused environment
- Prior exposure or willingness to learn AGILE methodologies
- The willingness to take ownership of challenging tasks, even beyond your initial scope of responsibility
- The ability to collaborate with team members remotely or face to face
- Openness to sharing ideas and accepting other team members’ feedback
