Salami, Spice and Good Company: Kirra Services Partner Night Returns

Some networking events are forgettable. This one involved garlic, paprika, natural casings, and hands covered in spice blends. Not your standard evening.

For the second year running, Kirra Services joined forces with Vertiv and their distributor Orion to bring partners and colleagues together for a hands-on salami-making experience in Canberra. What started as something a little different has quietly become one of the more anticipated events on the Kirra calendar.

A Room Full of Good People

The evening brought together representatives from Canberra Data Centres, Australian Data Centres, Riverbed and many more of the trusted partners and colleagues that make up the Kirra network. There was plenty of fun, a bit of learning, and the kind of conversation that just does not happen in a meeting room.

That is really the point of an event like this. Getting people out of their usual environment, doing something with their hands, and letting the relationships do what they do when the formality is taken away. The room had a good energy and the mix of people made for some genuinely interesting conversation across the table.

The Craft Behind It

Salami-making is a tradition with serious history behind it. Recipes passed down through generations, a precise balance of pork, fat and carefully selected spices, and then patience. Proper dry-cured salami can take up to 30 days to come good. The aroma of garlic and paprika filling the room was just the beginning.

There is no rushing it, and that is part of what makes it such a good experience to share. Everyone leaves with something to look forward to. Good things take time, and this salami is no exception.

Thank You

A big thank you to everyone who came along and made the evening what it was. To Vertiv and Orion for again making it happen, and to all our partners who continue to show up and invest in these relationships. These are the kinds of evenings that remind us how strong our network really is.

We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. And we have a feeling the salami will be worth the wait.
