The Best of 2021/2022 Kirra Recap

The best of 2021 Kirra Recap

As we approach new business year, it’s time for us to look back on what we’ve accomplished.

Here’s a recap of the business year 2021/2022:

Donations and Give-Back Service

Kirra and Industry Trading offer Government departments the option to sell and donate depreciated assets.

We recently donated 18 government laptops to the Canberra Institute of Technology’s (TAFE) Indigenous Digital Literacy program. This donation will impact the lives of 18 Indigenous students by providing hardware to enable connectivity and the associated training.

We provided $5000 to organization committed to supporting people with disabilities and high and complex support needs – Sharing Places.

We have also donated another 10 laptops to Indigenous students at the Bega High School. This has recently been followed up with the donation of another 10 laptops to the Dr Steve Burroughs Foundation. We are currently in the process of organising a communications centre for the Dr Steve.

Awards

It’s been a great year for us and we’re truly humbled to be placed 4th in the latest CRN Fast 50 Awards for 2021 with the highest ever placing for any Indigenous company.

We have proudly won the Channel Collaboration category for the CRN Impact Awards in 2021.

Let’s not forget that we were Telstra Business Award Finalist 2021 for the first time.

We accomplished the new Defence DISP Level 2 Membership that offers overall four levels of industry membership to better align with governance, physical, personnel and cyber security classifications.

We are also Stage 2 finalists in the following two categories, with results to be announced in November: Indigenous excellence and Outstanding growth.

Finally…

As we look back on 2021/2022, there are many things we’re proud of. We’ve made great progress in our mission to community give-back.

Though this was a challenging year for all of us, especially because of the COVID-19, we have plenty to celebrate. It will be interesting to see what happens in the coming year.
