About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to meet emerging needs of the department and business areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a range of IT technical and administrative projects.
- Manage and track agreed deliverables and milestones.
- Work closely with Branch Management, and other stakeholders to manage and report on delivery of agreed outputs and outcomes.
- Work with agile roles and administrative roles to sequence, plan, budget, track, and report on deliverables.
- Identify, document, and manage Risks, Actions, Issues, and Decisions related to your work.
- Identify resource constraints and requirements.
- Manage and report of the budget allocated to your work, including tracking costs against OpEx, CapEx, Project, and Sustainment effort.
Skills/Experience
- Experience delivering IT and administrative projects, using an agile approach, with emphasis on timeframes, quality, and governance procedures in a fast-paced agile based technology delivery environment. Experience should include managing several related technology projects delivering complex enterprise-wide systems.
- Experience communicating a range of project related matters to various stakeholder groups, including technologists, users, and senior management, in writing, in person and via Video Conferencing.
- Experience engaging meaningfully with a broad range of business and technology stakeholders to build robust relationships.
- Experience in the use of project management and agile delivery methodologies.
- Experience in creating arrange of project and business project artefacts.
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience in a Government Agency is desired, including the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations.
- Understanding the business context of the Department Employment and Workplace Relations environment.
