Project Support Specialist – SAP AMS

About the Role 

We have an opportunity for an energetic, motivated, and positive team player to take on the role of Project Support Specialist – SAP AMS within our Client Innovation Centre in Ballarat.

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Working with stream Project Managers to maintain and track resourcing requirements for multiple projects as part of a large SAP program.

  • Track and manage complex project financial, resource, and commercials on a day-to-day basis as part of a large operations team within the program.

  • Manage, track and report on project resource compliance for the client.

  • Managing client communications between project offices to meet and align on project administration outcomes and processes for a large SAP Program.

  • Demonstrate and promote a culture of innovation, automation, standardisation, and continuous improvement.

  • Consistently be looking to improve ways of working and include automation into day-to-day administration of projects.

  • Working with a broader program operations team to implement continuous improvement across all processes.

Skills/Experience 

  • Demonstrated experience in project financial and commercial management.
  • Understanding of SAP technology.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel.
  • Experience with managing project office administration tasks including but not limited to resource management, data security and privacy, invoice management and contractor management.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives at once.
  • Be able to work collaboratively with client and IBM commercial stakeholders to achieve their requirements.
  • Support a culture of innovation, automation, standardisation, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other team members to build a strong working relationship.
  • Experience in using collaborative tools e.g., Mural, Trello.
  • Be an enabler – demonstrate a growth mindset.
  • Apply Agile and Design Thinking Methodology for problem solving.
  • Willingness to participate in client interactions; demonstrated ability to build trust and strong relationships with the client.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity, understand the client’s goals and rapidly adapt to changes in requirements.
  • Be able to work independently and when required, seek assistance from leadership when needed on ambiguous requests or processes.
  • Previous experience in the project management office functions including but not limited to financial, resourcing and invoicing management.
  • The ability to understand and assimilate different points of view.
  • A love of working with people in a team-focused environment.
  • Natural leadership skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative culture.
  • The willingness to take ownership of challenging tasks, even beyond your initial scope of responsibility.

  • Experience with Lean, Agile, and Design Thinking methodologies.
  • Prior experience with building reports in SharePoint and Power BI would be ideal, but not mandatory.
