About the Role
We are seeking an experienced SAP Ariba Test Lead with strong knowledge of Procurement business processes (across Source to Pay and associated interfaces) and hands-on testing experience across SAP Ariba solutions. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Source-to-Contract (S2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes and will lead testing activities including unit testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), defect management, and validation of business scenarios within the Ariba landscape.
This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, functional consultants, integration teams, and project managers to ensure high-quality delivery of procurement solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead testing activities across SAP Ariba implementations and enhancements
Develop, review, and execute unit test scripts and SIT test scenarios
Validate procurement business processes including S2C and P2P workflows
Collaborate with functional and technical teams to understand solution design and business requirements
Identify, log, track, and retest defects within SAP Ariba applications
Support defect triage meetings and coordinate issue resolution with relevant teams
Ensure end-to-end testing coverage across integrated procurement systems
Validate configurations, workflows, approval processes, catalogues, sourcing events, contracts, requisitions, purchase orders, invoicing, and supplier interactions
Perform regression testing during release cycles and system changes
Prepare test evidence, test status reports, and quality metrics for stakeholders
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities where required
Ensure adherence to testing standards, processes, and quality assurance best practices
Skills/Experience
- Experience Required: 8+ years overall experience with strong SAP Ariba testing and procurement process expertise.
Strong experience working with SAP Ariba solutions
Good understanding of procurement lifecycle processes:
Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Source-to-Contract (S2C)
Hands-on experience writing and executing:
Unit test scripts
System Integration Testing (SIT) scenarios
User Acceptance Test support
Regression test cases and defect triage with technical consultants
Experience managing and retesting defects within SAP Ariba
Knowledge of procurement integrations between SAP Ariba and ERP systems such as SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA
Ability to analyse business requirements and translate them into test scenarios
Experience using defect management and test management tools (e.g., Jira, ALM, Azure DevOps)
Strong stakeholder communication and coordination skills
Ability to work across business and technical teams in fast-paced project environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP Ariba modules such as:
- Buying and Invoicing, Guided Buying, Guided Sourcing, Sourcing, Contracts, Supplier Lifecycle and Performance (SLP)
Exposure to SAP integration technologies such as CIG
SAP Ariba certification is desirable
Experience in large-scale transformation or ERP implementation programs is an advantage
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Finance, or related discipline
- Relevant Business Analysis or SAP certifications are desirable
