About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Solutions Architect experienced in Amazon Web Services to join the team in our Enterprise Solutions and Technology business area.
As an IT Solutions Architect you’ll Design, govern and guide the implementation of secure, scalable and reliable cloud solutions that meet business and technical requirements, while aligning with enterprise architecture, security standards and operational needs
You will also build team capability through coaching, training, and providing feedback. You’ll model and encourage others to adopt an agile approach while also advocating a culture of continuous improvement.
Skills/Experience
- Design and implement secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions on AWS using serverless & microservice architectures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end architecture solutions.
Conduct architecture reviews and ensure compliance with AWS best practices.
Ability to present to executive audiences to resolve solution options.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development and operations teams.
Author technical architecture deliverables and lead work through to endorsement.
Design end-to-end cloud solutions and application architectures.
Define technical requirements, integration patterns and target-state architectures.
Ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, maintainable and cost-effective.
Ability to align solutions with enterprise architecture standards, security controls and governance requirements, e.g. PSPF, ISM and Essential Eight.
Provide architecture direction for AWS services such as:
Lambda,
ECS/Fargate,
API Gateway,
Aurora,
EventBridge,
EC2,
Kinesis and related cloud services.
- Evaluate and recommend cloud technologies and patterns.
Experience delivering structured knowledge transfer and capability uplift to teams through hands-on demonstrations, on-the-job training, and targeted one on one mentoring or buddy arrangements.
Ability to provide technical leadership, assurance and pragmatic advice to resolve complex platform and security challenges
A proactive approach to continuous improvement, including evaluation of technologies, tools and processes to uplift capability
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence secure delivery outcomes across multi-disciplinary teams
You’ll need to be an Australian citizen to work for the ATO and hold a minimum Baseline security clearance.
